Description: This listing consists of a vintage metal rag bin and metal five gallon gas can. The rag bin is a model 1404 made by The Protectoseal Company of Chicago. I features a metal handle on top for carrying and the lid is opened by pushing down a metal foot bar. The lid is self closing. It is18 7/8 inches tall, and sixteen inches square. The metal gas can features a lid that is opened by a pull handle and is self closing. It is 16 inches tall counting the handle. The bottom is 11 3/8 in diameter. I could not find a manufacturer name on it due to the red paint that has been applied to the outside. As you can see in photos the can has a small dent in one size. They both show normal use wear. Both came from a closed Coca-Cola bottling plant. The rag bin was located in the paint shop. The red paint is the same as the color of the vending machines used by the bottler in their paint shop. Both items could be repainted to any color you wished. Both are great looking pieces and would look good in a garage.
