Description: Vintage Corning Pyrex Glass Insulator #441 in Carnival Glass Marigold Yellow. It measures about 8.5" tall and 11" wide, and is very heavy.This high voltage insulator was made by the Corning Glass Works of Pyrex glass. It is numbered 441 indicating a 44KV rating. These were made both in clear glass and with carnival coating. The carnival coating is intended to reduce AM radio noise by providing a slightly conductive surface to eliminate corona. Most of the items that I sell are antique or vintage as as such they do show signs of patina, use, and age. That only adds to the character that so many collectors desire. If there are any major issues or defects, I try to describe them to the best of my ability and as accurately as possible. In the event that I do miss something with words, I provide you with plenty of pictures to be included as part of the description. There are no chips, cracks, or breaks.
