Description: You are bidding on a vintage and rarely seen F.H. Ayers & Son one pound crab meat tin can; packaged in Portsmouth, VA. Circa 1950s. VA. 3C. The tin is in used condition and has a stock-style lid. Very nice condition overall with light scuffs on the label. There is a small amount of paint loss at the top of the seam and on both sides of it; rope border and top left area of the red banner. Also in this area are light surface indentations. There is a small surface rust spot inside the life ring beneath the the letters OU. Bottom and its edge have light surface rust. Inside of tin has a shiny gold finish. Very nice attractive graphics. Tin was manufactured by the Steel and Tin Plate Company of Baltimore, MD. Pictures are part of the description but by all means ask questions! Purchases are normally shipped next business day.
