Featuring vivid, stylized strawberries and trailing leaves/vines in vibrant red and gold against a black ground, this type of folk art was developed in Russia. Bearing a simple gold exterior with banding and dot accenting, condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage -- the most minor rubbing to the top edge does not detract. Purchased on a trip to the USSR in the 1970s or 1980s, painted decoration is especially fine.
