Description: Antique 19th century French perfume music casket with exquisite quality inlay. Comprising of alternating kingwood veneers set in a chevron pattern, brass bound edging the lid. The lid is decorated with magnificent parquetry inlay comprising of intricate geometric forms of various woods, kingwood and burl walnut veneers. To the center is an inlaid mother of pearl stars. Opening to reveal a fitted interior housing a pair of elegant Baccarat cut crystal scent bottles with faceted stoppers, hand painted with gold stars and trim. Unsigned but undoubtedly early Baccarat bottles. The perfume music box is in overall very good antique condition with some general wear commensurate with age and use. The bottles are in good condition. Plays music when opens. Box measures 4" x 5 1/4". Bottles are 3" tall x 1 3/4" square.
