Description: Elegant vintage Empire Works, French Svres style pedestal urn art porcelain with a mythological scene of four figures and gilt decor on a gorgeous cobalt blue background. This same scene was repeated on dishes and other Empire Ware pieces, and such early cobalt blue and gilt vases were made between 1896 and the 1920s. Made in Stoke-on-Trent, England, by Empire Porcelain Company, Ltd. An "England" impression, a handwritten registration number, and a longer incised number are found on the bottom. The lid is decorative only and not removable. Measures 12 tall x 5" wide with handles. Little wear to the gold due to age, though some unevenness and missed lines that appear original. No damage, repairs or cracks.
