Description: ORIGINAL GIM GALGOCZY (1920-????) 'PARROTS IN THE JUNGLE WITH STILL LIFE' OIL PAINTING This is a great piece. I recently acquired 2 original Gim Galgoczy paintings. The artist is from Hungary and became well known for these wonderful original paintings of parrots in different backgrounds. I am actually pretty surprised there is not a full biography on the artist anywhere I can find. This is a wonderful scene of a pair of Parrots on a branch in the jungle with what looks like a baby parrot sitting on the fruit beneath the branch. Oil on wood panel measuring 16 x 12 inches. Signed lower left corner. Painting is in excellent condition with wonderful vibrant colors. There is a slight toning to a little bit of the varnish in a few spots. Original gold frame is in excellent condition. On the back of the wood panel there are a few stickers and markings from the original artist. Frame measures 19 1/2 x 15 3/4 inches.
