Description: Beautiful vintage hand sewn queen size quilt in Dresden plate pattern. The Dresden plates were started in 1935 by my grandma, and over the years my great grandma and aunt worked on it as well. My mom completed the quit approximately 20 years ago, which is when she purchased the blue backing material, batting and border material. She meticulously hand quilted a pretty pattern between each Dresden plate. Border is a solid lighter blue as well as a lovely blue and coral colored floral print. Back side is the same light blue as the front of quilt, as well as a patterned navy blue.Please note colors may appear a bit different in person. Light weight batting. Quilt is in very good condition, with the exception of one very small stain (see close up photo), as well as one of the quilt pieces which has begun to come unsewn. I'm not a gifted seamstress like my mom was, which is why I didn't attempt to mend it. Substantial, the quilt weights 6 1/2 lbs. Measures approx. 88" wide x 88" long. Shown on a queen size bed.
