Description: Rust and Rot ~ Purveyors of wonderful things. Welcome to the sale of this vintage theodolite. Dating from 1954 (serial number 86471) this surveyors theodolite was made by the British manufacturer Hilger and Watts. It is the No.1 Microptic version and is a transit engineering theodolite. As condition of these instruments is subjective and I don't know enough about them to test it it's sold as a display piece. A really good looking piece of British engineering that would suit anyones man cave, office or workshop. This theodolite comes in its original metal case with leather straps. The theodolite measures (in cm) 25 tall, 13 wide and 11 deep. It weighs 7.4kg In good condition commensurate with its age and use. This is being sold as a display piece.
