Description: This auction is for a vintage Inex 4100 series laptop. This laptop was received through a pallet of older laptops so I am not aware of it's prior history. It has been tested to power on and boot into MS-DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.1. The battery no longer holds a charge but it includes the OEM AC adapter as well as the User's manual. Cosmetic wise: The laptop have the average wear and tear. Some of the plastic bezel the left side of the floppy drive has cracked off and is now missing. The information sticker on the bottom chassis has begun to peel away. The left screen hinge plastic has cracked (See picture 10 for details) and the hinge itself is no longer attached to the screen assembly. The right screen hinge is still attached and will support the screen when it is lifted up (You will need to be careful to not damage it). The keyboard shows signs of wear and some of the upper palm rest areas near the power button have some marks. Performance wise: The laptop has average performance for its age. I haven't run into any major performance drops while testing. When booting, it will complain about a Backpack CDROM not being connected. This does not affect performance or loading MS-DOS. Performance drops are to be expected with vintage hardware and software. NOTE: The internal floppy drive no longer works. When a disk is inserted, the drive will attempt to read it before a disk error message appears in the DOS prompt. The internal CMOS battery is also dead.
