Description: This Conrad all-mahogany soprano uke was produced in Japan in about the 1950s. It competed with Harmony, Silvertone, and Regal entry-level models of the era. No toy, it is well made with bone nut and saddle, spruce bracing and kerfing, and what appear to be Grover tuners. New Grover friction tuners have been installed as well as new Martin nylon strings. Tuned up, this uke has a nice jangly tone, with decent sustain and projection. While it has 1950s vintage appeal, it has been refit to be played and enjoyed now. It needs nothing and plays well as it is. It comes with both the shown gig bag and original tuners. Any used instrument is just that - used and, therefore, often has signs of that use: abrasions, scratches, nicks, discoloration, etc. In that regard, much effort has gone into accurately and fully describing the condition of the instrument. To that end, please carefully review the description above and the attached pictures. The sale is "as is", therefore, it is advised that questions and/or requests for additional photos be made prior to the sale.
