Description: PLEASE VIEW ALL PICTURES POSTED TO THE LISTING.PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION.This listing is for a beautiful Vintage Japanese Geisha girl extra large parasol with original box.It is made of what I believe is rice paper, and bamboo spokes.It is large measuring 44" across when opened from end to end, and 29" long.It looks like there is a signature next to the Geisha girl picture in Japanese. I can't be too sure those.Please look at picture yourself to see. It is picture number 11.The outer gloss coloring over the rice paper is very nice.The Geisha girl picture can be seen on the outside of the parasol, and from the inside viewing of the parasol.I am unsure if it was painted on the parasol by the artist, and it is a transfer design of some kind.It is in amazing condition for it's age.There are about (5) tiny pinhead size holes on the rice paper.The bamboo? spokes and handle are excellent with nothing broken.The (2) wire / metal snaps that keep the parasol open, and closed are in perfect condition.There is an area at the top where the rice paper bunches in (4) corners(picture number 3) that (1) corner has pulled away in a small spot. The original box is complete but has some shelf wear, and creases.There is a sticker on the side of the box in Japanese.
