This was my grandfathers and he was a smoker at one point in time, but I'm not sure if the discoloration is from that or not. **See 8th photo for close up The box does have wear, but nothing major enough to inhibit its function.The book has been folded in half and stored inside the box.The slide rule case has cracks on the bottom, on both sides.The slide rule itself is legible, but is fairly tough to get out of the case. Seems as though there is some rust as there are small brown pieces that flake off when handling it. There is a small sliver of metal or plastic that appears to be broken, but does not inhibit its function. **See 8th photo.
