Description: Vintage Ken Scott Silk Bow Tie Soft woven silk in orange with a geometric design of yelliw, green and pink lined squares in a pre-tied wide butterfly style bow tie. Labeled: Ken Scott, 100% Silk, Made in Italy. About 3.5" wide at bow by 6" across. The neck adjusts to about 18" in circumference. The attachment is an unusual two pronged small silver toned metal buckle and a fabric loop. The prongs grasp the fabric when pulled snug and the loop keeps the end in place. Ken Scott was an artist, fabric designer, gardener and fashion designer who was born in the U.S. in 1918 and worked in Italy. He started his own line in 1962 and was know for his exuberant, colorful floral designs. He died in 1991. The Ken Scott Foundation partnered wih Gucci in 2021 to create a collection using his fabric designs. Pre-owned vintage silk bow tie in very good, clean condition; there are several small pulls in the neck area from the prongs on the buckle, though not visible when wearing.
