Description: This item is being sold for the employee holiday fund at the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Maine where I live with my husband. All items are donated by the residents of the community and the net proceeds of all sales go to the fund that is distributed annually to the wonderful staff who help the many elderly residents here. I will give all the information I can about each item, but I am not the original owner. I have here a Vintage Krischerco Imperial Egg Cobalt Blue & Gold Enamel Jeweled Hinged Trinket Box 5¼". This beautiful 5¼” tall ORNATE EGG belonged to a resident who recently passed away and her family donated many of her cherished items. The egg looks like a Faberge to me but I know nothing of such things, it is marked, “Krischero PAT PEND” on the inside rim – but it is gorgeous. See pics to get the best idea as to what it looks like. But it is ornate bejeweled (pearl like and sapphire blue stones) gold trim set on a base of cobalt blue lacquered base. It has a hinged top that opens the top of the egg which reveals a cobalt blue satin inside. There is a gold bow clasp closure. The stem is ornate gold going down to a lacquered base with a 6 point gold star on the base. The base is 1 ¾” in diameter and covered in cobalt blue velvet. It is in immaculate condition!! Absolutely no signs of wear! It is truly a spectacular piece, so hope someone will appreciate it! I have many other interesting items up for, many to benefit this wonderful employee fund.
