Description: Original authentic Antique (1960) EWE kente cloth from Ghana made of cotton and silk. This is a " Men size " cloth and measures approximately 116 by 75 inches and it can cover a king or queen size bed. EWE (Ghana -Volta Region) Kente is a Ceremonial cloth that is hand woven on a horizontal treadle loom and put together by hand. A real piece of Authentic African art. Great condition, considered the most labor-intensive textile originally for the king. Photos are actual representation of the listing. Note: Most of our pieces have spent decades on at least two continents. A small split, scrapes, cracks and smell are normal part of their patina attesting to their age and extensive use.
