Description: Vintage Lotus "Supreme" Frameset & Fork. 56.5cm (c-c) seat tube, 57 cm (c-c) top tube, 1" threaded fork with BSA threads, 26.8mm seat post compatible, 68mm BSA bottom bracket. Tange "Champion" #2 double butted tubing, forks and stays with Shimano forged, semi-vertical dropouts. Nice chromed head lugs, fork crown, dropouts, and drive-side chainstay, with chrome in good condition. Paint is a deep metallic blue, with chips & scratches typical of a 40 year old frame, but no dings or dents, & tracks straight and true. Frame & fork as shown weighs 6.28 lbs. This relatively uncommon frameset is a nice example of upper end Japanese frame building from the early 1980's, at the peak of Japanese bike frame building before the gradual migration to Taiwanese production.
