Description: Vintage 1970s Ludwig Standard Ruby Red Strata Snare Drum 5x14 For those of you who are familiar with Ludwig this by far is one of their most unique patterns. These vintage Ludwig standard drums are made from the same exact 3-ply shells as their classic series with the only different being lighter weight hardware, which many believe increases the resonance of the shells due to the less metal mass-to-surface contact. This comes with the added bonus of being easier to transport. If you do some research, you will quickly see that Ludwig Ruby Red Strat drum sets are not easy to find and hold a high resell value. This drum is used but for its age it is still in excellent condition. Please see images for accurate representation of the condition of the item. There is some light surface corrosion on the surface of the chrome due to its age but is in overall good condition. All hardware functions and can be adjusted. None of the hardware is seized or broken. The tensioner for the snare wires functions properly and the drum comes with the snare wires seen on the drum. The Drum also comes with both drum head that are pictured on it. These drumheads still have some life left in them but are heavily used and will be do for replacement in the near future.
