Description: This lovely bride #1890 is from the last year of production of the Binnie dolls and is a beauty! Dolls in this condition are rarely seen. She has the Binnie flat chested body and flat feet and is NOT a walker but her head is posable as are the pinked knee legs. This doll was called "Wendy Bride" and was one of the three styles produced the last year. In 1955 and 1956, the doll was produced with jointed knees, Cissy arms and the head and wig seen on the future Cissys. Her hair is in the original set, lashes are brushed and she has blue eyes. Her wig is longer in back than usual and quite beautiful. Her dress is beautifully made out of pleated tulle with a dotted bodice with pearls and a garter. She has a stiff head piece with a veil and flowers with original staples still intact. She wears stockings, with garter and white satin slippers and bouquet in hand. She is tagged. She stands 17" tall. She is the most complete and best condition Wendy bride listed now. She does have a few eye lashes in the center of one eyelid missing, see photo. From a smoke free home She is pictured in Theriault’s auction catalog and listed in the Legendary Dolls of Madame Alexander book, page 90.
