Description: Here is a wonderful vintage tripod from Manfrotto that was Made in Italy and marked #144. It's very basic compared to todays tripods and I'm sure it was one of their earlier one as the company was started in 1974 and wooden legs were certainly on their way out by then. There's also probably some kind of attachment at the top that the camera would fit into that is missing and hopefully that is still available. Visually the tripod is fantastic. The leg color against the aluminum hardware pieces is a very striking contrast and the style and design of the tripod is just about perfect. "Made in Italy" are three of my favorite words as they usually guarantee a high level of sophistication and panache. To me it's almost a work of art that will jazz up any studio, look quite smashing as just a prop in the corner, or strut its stuff as another well-traveled conversation piece. If none of that works for you it can still be used as a tripod or even a light stand. Thanks for looking.
