Description: How cool is this vintage West German advent calendar? Very MCM Kitschy Christmas vibes. Features 24 (6 of each color Red, Blue, White and Yellow) different colored plastic balls you can fill with small gifts or candies to help you and your family countdown to Christmas. The are connected to cardboard tree with golden numbers (1 – 24) adorning it. The green tree can be displayed on the accompanying cardboard piece that has 3 plastic tabs that help keep the tree upright. It is very worn, but original. Could be swapped out with fresh piece of cardboard or the tree could be reinforced in another way. Original Dillards Tag on the side of the box. Made in West Germany sticker on the top. Box reads “der Adventskalender zum Selberfüllen” which translates to Fill Yourself Advent calendar. Box has some wear and water stains, however, structurally sound. Plastic balls are in good shape. They are about 2.25” across. One red ball has a tiny hairline crack, as seen in last 2 photos. While the packaging shows it age, the calendar still displays incredibly well and would make an amazing addition to your Mid Century Christmas display.
