These rare bottles from Hoffman distillery were produced in the mid-1970s at the height of the American whiskey craze for commemorative decanters. Hoffman distillery, best known for producing the Ezra Brooks label, closed down shortly after. Its owners, the Ripys, later sold it to Julian Van Winkle III who renamed it Old Commonwealth and birthed the legendary Pappy Van Winkle brand there.
