Description: Vintage Neo-Chess 4M board Game. Inventor Alex Randolph. Copyright date in instructions, 1972. NEO-CHESS is an absorbing chess variation inspired by Shogi, the Japanese chess game which is a distant relative of our Western game. In NEO-CHESS, any captured piece becomes a turncoat which may be re-entered on the board to fight for its captor. NEO-CHESS is a dramatic game that allows for brilliant combinations and sacrifices. The pieces are wood and printed silver on one side, gold on the other. The game board is plastic and in very good played with condition, measures approx. 17 3/4" x 12 3/4" x 2 1/8". Some of the printing on the pieces are wearing-in pics 10 and 11, I have shown the worst of them. The brown box bottom is actually attached to the board and not meant to be removed however it shows shelf wear, 2 sides are missing and the other 2 are very worn. It has a clear plastic cover which is yellowed and has several cracks. The instructions are a photocopy. Please look at pictures. (GS)
