Description: Wonderful vintage and certainly rare Cabinet Card Photo at the Morris Guards Armory, Atlantic City, NJ circa 1910s. Photographer stamp on back George McKeague who was also located in Atlantic City. We were able to identify location by zooming in on the flyer on building. The Morris Guards was an independent military club formed in 1887 for purpose of military training but also sports and other recreational activities and events. The Armory itself was built in 1901. The gentlemen in this photo must be displaying their winning hardware while also promoting their military interests with firearms in foreground. 106 men from the Armory served in the Spanish American War as a single unit so it's possible they are also wearing military medals. The Armory had a rich history but closed in 1980's and supposedly being turned into loft apartments after being vacant for many years. Measures approx. 9 x 11" overall and photo is off-center. There is wear along card edges and photo has wear and damage along edges small pieces missing. There is also a crease across center but card structure is solid. Zoom in on photos as part of description. This is an outstanding historical AC collectible that will ship fast and FREE!
