Vintage Original SIGNED Fabulous GREAT WHITE HERONS Coastal Ocean Marsh FRAMED

Description: This beautiful seascape painting features Great White Herons wading along the shoreline in wetlands - a bay, marsh, or lake's edge. There are also seabirds in flight. These regal birds are more common in coastal areas, and can usually be found at water's edge searching for fish. The medium is oil on canvas, mounted on wood, and framed. It is signed "Edmondson". There are a number of artists named Edmondson and I could not track down the Edmondson that painted this picture. This coastal wildlife scene is beautifully executed in shades of taupe, green, ivory, white, charcoal, blue, and pale yellow. It is framed in a deep, heavy, box-like solid wood frame. The outer frame is a redwood brown color, followed by an inner frame in an ivory shade, and the inner rim of the frame is silver. It all works well together and is very complimentary to the painting. I don't know the exact age of this piece, but would estimate 1990's - early 2000's, based on the style of frame, color palette, and canvas aging. It measures 13 inches in height and is 15 1/16 inches wide, a nice medium size. The (canvas) picture itself is in excellent condition, with no visible stains, tears, or holes. The frame has very minimal - no significant scratches, scuffs or gouges. The picture is firmly mounted in the frame - not loose at all. The hanging bracket is secure and sturdy. It's simply a lovely, original piece of art for any lover of nature, seabirds and coastal life.
