Description: Vintage PENTEL/ K+E “Graph” Mechanical Drafting Pencil Set. NOS Made in Japan circa 1970. K+E (KEUFFEL + ESSER) Model 58 0403. A very early version of this very popular and well-regarded offering from PENTEL. This extremely nice (new….) version comes in its original sales box with instructions on the back panel It was part of a line of similar pencils from PENTEL, but colored (green) for K+E and the box was labeled as such. For 0.5 mm or .020” lead, this NOS rarity clocks in at 5 ¾” in length. It features a fixed sleeve, pocket clip, separate clog-cleaning wire, six-sided plastic barrel with incised grip area, and just the simple factory embossing of “PENTEL”, “GRAPH PENCIL”. And “MADE IN JAPAN”. The box, as well as the pencil, is in unused condition….with only minimal “shelf-wear” on the plastic cover and some yellowing of the back-side instructions … The set is complete with its unattached pocket clip the usually missing clog cleaner with the BIG red ball on top and a vintage box of PENTEL 0.5 mm “H” lead.
