Description: This is an excellent and early example of a Peck Stowe & Wilcox or PS&W, later known as “Pexto” premium model no 4412 Large 12” sweep ratcheting with reverse bit brace. It has the interlocking chuck with self centering jaws, the head and the sweep handles are rosewood. The wrist handle has decorative pewter rings. The brace has a steel clad ball bearing head and full boxed ratchet. This brace was manufactured circa 1900 so approximately 120 years old. It is in excellent condition and will last another long lifetime with normal maintenance. Has been gently cleaned, lubricated and tested, looks good and works great. Large 12” sweep for greater leverage. Also includes a complimentary 7 piece set of bits, a variety of 6 different sizes of auger bits and a Stanley screwdriver bit.
