Description: Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a rare older 1950's F & H Schumann GMBH MDS3N dynamic Microphone made in Germany. I honestly don't know anything else about these microphones as it's the first I have come across. I don't know the history or the specs of this mic. I do know that it's non-working currently but I haven't got inside to see what is wrong with the mic. This is a display, prop or repair mic only. As you can see there is just lite wear on the finish of this mic and most of that is on the lower pistol grip where the black paint has worn away. The front and rear screens look great as does the chrome accents. The F & H badge looks pretty nice and is completely legible. The mic comes with what appears to be an original 16 foot cable and it has the standard male 1/4 inch end connector. The lower joint mechanism gives the mic a wide degree of tilt up and down and is tightened via side screw. Mics threads for a stand are perfect. nothing is stripped. The mic is appx 7 inches tall X 2 1/2 inches wide X 2 1/2 inches deep. If you know anything about these mics and want to rebuild it it to working specs again this will be right up your alley.
