Vintage Schoenhut Dollhouse c 1930's Large 6+ Room 1:12 Scl AS IS

Description: This is a fixer-upper. This was the second to the largest dollhouse Schoenhut made, and rarely seen. Largest house that opens only from the front. Two rooms plus hall and stairs on first and second floor, plus two bonus rooms in the attic. Measures 29 1/2" wide by 23" tall, house is 14" deep, base is 17" deep. Remains of Schoenhut decal pictured. It is possible for an experienced dollhouse person to restore this house. The roof has lost its fabric ridge hinge, and small metal hinges were installed at either end, unsuccessfully. Both pieces of the roof have warped and some glue joints between the shingled fiberboard have come undone. Front and back roof need to be taken off, flattened, then reattached with a new fabric hinge on the ridge. House has been wired, needs to be taken out. Some windows have lost mullions, matte board is a good material to substitute for the pressed composition original pieces. Interior has been wallpapered, original walls are painted underneath. Residue of felt carpeting on stairs. Shutters have been repainted with over-paint around some edges. Really the roof is the main issue, the rest is paint and crafting.
