Vintage SELMER Mark VI Tenor Saxophone Nr. 179529 in Gold Lacquer It should come as no secret that the Selmer Mark VI Saxophone has become the horn against which all others are judged. Made in the 1970, this Selmer Tenor has all of the characteristics which the Pro Player is looking for in a Top Tenor Sax – robust and warm sonority, excellent intonation, ergonomic ease. In short, a very exciting instrument to play. This instrument is all original with a Honey Gold Hue to the lacquer. It was the property of a well-known Dutch Tenor Saxophonist who always travelled with his sax. And he cared for it well. This Selmer fell at some time in its past and sustained a dent in the lower bow. I have endeavored to photo the damage. Very often I replace the brace but in this case I felt that the repair would be more noticeable than the damage and therefore decided to leave it as is. We have meticulously re-padded this Baby using Pisoni Black Pro Pads with metal boosters, and it is in perfect playing condition, just waiting for a chance to wail again !!
