Description: This vintage Selmer Scroll C* Tenor Sax Mouthpiece is a great addition to any musician's collection. Made of hard rubber and crafted in France, it is a high-quality piece that is perfect for beginner, advanced, and expert players alike. I’m sure this mouthpiece was originally black, but frequent and/or prolonged exposure to the sun has bleached it brown, with the exception of where a mouthpiece patch/cushion was placed at some point in time. The tip, rails, table, and beak are in Excellent Condition — see pics! With its Selmer brand name and superior design, this mouthpiece is sure to produce a rich and beautiful sound. It is perfect for both personal use and professional performance. Whether you are a seasoned player or just starting out, this mouthpiece is a great choice. I believe this mouthpiece is 1960’s or 1970’s vintage, likely coming from the same case as a Mark 6 Selmer. It is the “short shank” version, compared to the longer shank mouthpieces being produced today by Selmer. It was gifted to me by a dear friend, and I would play it, except that I have another mouthpiece that I prefer when playing classical tenor music.
