Description: Up for sale is a very rare Shakespeare 2441 Fishing Reel made in Japan. The reel is in very good condition. The cap for the reel hole is missing. (pictured) Also missing is I believe a little plate that goes above the reel. (pictured) The other similar plate had fallen off and I reglued it to the reel. The crank action is smooth. This is a clicker style, the reel clicks and you reel it. This can be toggled off with the switch on the reel however. The drag knob functions properly. Most of the wear is on the line holder. Nicks and scratches. The reel will work as is but I would suggest some proper maintenance before use, it sat unused for a long time. The line is probably no good but can still function as fill. This is a beefy reel meant for the biggest of freshwater fishes. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
