Description: Here is a sweet little ceramic tray with scalloped edges trimmed in gold. The center is fully decorated with a cluster of fruit including yellow pear, orange tangerine, and purple grapes. I have one similar that makes an excellent spoon rest but would also serve well as a trinket tray or soap dish. The condition is very good with no chips, cracks, crazing, discoloration, utensil marks or wear to the gold edging. The decoration colors are vibrant and have no scratches. The shell shape has a diameter of 5.25” with a handle end of ¾”. The sides are 7/8” high. There is no maker’s mark on the white glazed underside. This might be Lefton pottery from Japan.
