Description: This shaving bowl and brush were my daddy’s. According to my mother, he used them when he was released from the Army (after WWII) and went to work on the Cascade Dam. After that work, he continued to use them for a few years, then stored them away. This use explains the soap residue on the underside of the lid. The lid has one spot in it where the wood has eroded away; I do not know if this was from wear or if the wood was formed that way. The brush also has soap residue where the bristles meet the handle. I did not try to clean either item since I am not an expert in care of vintage things; thus, I am selling them together as we found them.
