Description: Vintage Texaco Advertisement Click images to enlarge Description Rare Vintage Texaco Service Station Credit Card Imprint Form S-459 with attached Postcard Mailer measures approximately 3-1/4" x 5-5/16", with the "TEXACO" logo in the upper right corner. The form consists of three layers, an onion skin customer copy sheet, carbon paper, and postcard mailer, and is similar in design to the standard credit charge form used with a manual imprinting machine when making a credit purchase. It was intended to be used to notify Texaco of a problem with the customer's credit card. The attendant was required to check the appropriate cause of the problem, and run the card through the imprinting machine. Once completed, the postcard portion was detached and mailed to Texaco for proper resolution of the problem. The Credit Card Imprint Form S-459 is dated 1975, and remains in Good Unused Condition, with some paper wear/loss on the lower edge, and discoloration or staining on the mailer noted likely due to many years of past storage. The Texaco assigned sequential number "060972" is imprinted on the form likely for record-keeping purposes. Please see accompanying photographs.
