If this were a full set it would have 16 books, however this set is missing books # 1, 2, 5 and 16 from the set. This series is notorious for having a clear film that covered each book, over time that clear film begins to peel, which is apparent on these books All of the books have moderate shelf wear at the head and tail bands as is typical for this set. One book has a small torn off corner of the front-end paper. One book had a stain on the title page, and one book had a small green crayon swipe mark on the blank front end paper. Otherwise, these books and the pages appear clean, and all pages are intact. Great set for homeschooling or just for a child with a curious mind. Nice vintage encyclopedia and very collectible!
