Description: This is for a vintage USS Vreeland (FF 1068) US Navy Heavy Duty Ceramic Coffee Cup. Ivory / off-white. Approximately 3 1/2" tall with a 3 1/4" diameter. Holds approximately 8 oz. From the Mil-Art China Co, Chelmsford, Mass. These had to be thick because the ship rocking through the oceans would cause stuff to fly off counters and tables. Coffee mug is in excellent used condition or better. Did not notice any chips or cracks. Hard to tell if the emblem is faded or if that's how it came. Has ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare), or most likely the original owners' initials, underneath the crest. This Frigate was decommissioned in 1992. Perfect gift for that Sailor who served on board the USS Vreeland. Will ship double boxed to ensure your item arrives safely.
