Description: You will receive the U.S. made Wilton 3 1/2" Triple Duty Quick Release Swivel Base (with pipe jaws) vise shown. Rapid Titan was a name Wilton used on some of these, but this one did not have any label remaining if it ever had one. The maximum opening is about 4 1/8" and the weight (prior to packaging) is about 13 lb. 10 oz. This vise has been cleaned and painted. It is not art work, but it certainly doesn't look too bad. There is pitting from past rust on all the shiny surfaces and on the front portion of the screw. Thankfully most of the pitting on the screw is ahead of the quick release mechanism. I was also thankful the quick release was not very rusty at all and required very little cleaning (gotta get lucky once in a while). I think the pictures actually show the condition pretty well. If you are buying this for a collectable, these are a bit scarce. If you are buying it to use keep in mind this wouldn't be a good choice to press u-joints or something. I would consider it a fairly light duty clamping device because the quick release device doesn't give full thread engagement. It does work very well and the jaws close very nicely. Although Wilton certainly made a lot of quick release woodworking vises I "think" this might be the only model of quick release mechanics/machinist type bench vise.
