Description: Vintage Elegant Woof & Poof Plush Santa Music Box which Plays Deck the Halls. I know, elegant isn't exactly how one usually describes a plush Santa. But Woof & Poof was able to do it! Charming, whimsical and yes, elegant. In 1975 in Chico, CA Jacki Headley started a home based business that thrived ~ her plush music boxes, Santa's and angels elevated the Christmas plush accents market . . . she used leopard, wool, velvet, faux patent leather, gold trim & mixed up colors and combinations. The business closed in 2015. Most Woof & Poof's have a button on the back identifying it as a Woof & Poof. On or about 1999 the buttons started noting the year. This Santa has the button, but it does not include the year, so while I don't know what year it was made, I believe it was in the 90's. This Santa is made, in part, with wool, velvet & a gold tassel. Measures 20" tall from bottom of feet to top of tassel & 15" from tip of left hand to tip of right hand. Sitting down he measures 9.5" tall, 8" wide & 5.5" deep. From a non-smoking home.
