It was designed to tone facial muscles and enhance overall appearance. Made in the 1960s. It powers on and is appears to be complete with all the necessary parts, including the original key (with working lock), cords, and instruction booklets for both men and women. It appears to have been well-maintained over the years. Please note that when the case is opened, there is a light odor - I don’t find it offensive, but I wanted to mention it for those who may be sensitive to smells. If I had to describe it, it is less of a musty smell and more like your grandmother’s beauty salon - a chemically/"perfumey" scent. There is some light soiling to case (see photos), but in overall this vintage item is in very good condition.
