Description: I learned a lot while researching this interesting piece of vintage Fiestaware. This platter has a purple, blue tinge and changes hues in different lighting. Vintage pieces have a “wet foot” meaning that the glaze covers the entire piece whereas, post 1986 pieces have an unglazed foot or “dry foot” on the back. The Fiesta stamp on the back in lower case cursive writing also indicates an original piece. It was originally titled “Blue” but collectors today often refer to it as Cobalt blue . A great piece for Fiestaware lovers to add to their collection! Circa 1936-1951. This vintage platter is between 73-88 years old, therefore, utensil marks and crazing on this piece are normal considering the age. Three pin point marks located on the back are also normal for vintage Fiestaware. Please see photos.
