Description: Vintage 1981 signed by artist, braised wire and hammered brass kinetic sculpture of a fish with a rowing figure inside the mouth. Appears to be a depiction of the biblical story of Jonah. Superior craftsmanship includes a moving rear tail and side fins, head moves side to side, mouth opens and closes, and the little man inside the mouth rows his boat. Sculpture is signed on the underside of the left fin. There is a double acute accent above the "E" of the signaure which suggests a Hungarian origin. Measurements are 16.25" wide, 5.75" high and 5.25" deep. Condition: EXCELLENT working condition. Intact with no missing parts. Beautiful patina. A little dusty in the mouth and inside wires where it's a little harder to reach. I didn't want to mess with it too much. Please read the description and view all the photos for details of the item.
