Description: Vintage (Early 1990s) Unsigned Dominique Detora Lion's Head w/ foxtail chain mesh / tassels/ fringed mane pendant / necklace / brooch / pin / corsage Lion's face consists of rhinestones including emerald eyes, black nose and citrine / caramel / amber colors. 22" goldtone chain included Dominique is the brand of Dominic Detora, an American jewelry craftsman and designer. He got his start working in the jewelry manufacturing industry in Rhode Island. Working as a "jobber" he produced pieces for several different well-known companies like Weiss and Eisenberg. He continued to use those same techniques producing his own jewelry line. He was known as "Dom" to his friends and fans. The majority of his work was sold to customers who visited his home. He was known to be quite a character. He would throw his jewelry against a wall to ensure that it was made well. Dom retired for the second time in 2011 at the age of 88. He died in 2016.
