Manufactured from 1959-1967.This is one of the HARDEST TO FIND Items from the Orbit Line.The "Orbit" Pattern Features an Embossed Circular Design Made to Resemble Orbiting Planets. Frankoma purchased Synar Ceramics in 1957 and converted the plant to produce in the Frankoma manner. John Frank designed the all new Orbit dinnerware pattern for the new venture. Unfortunately the company did not meet expectations, so Frank closed it in May, 1962. Frank's associate J.C. Taylor purchased the company, along with its assets, to continue production with a reduced number of items. He eventually decided to stop production entirely in February, 1967.
