Description: 2 original 1930’s-1940’s Glen Court Bark Cloth “Deluxe Roses” curtain panels. Each panel measures a very narrow 18” width and 76” length. There is also an additional 5.5” hemmed length. They are lined and have a very narrow rod pocket. The lining is a very yellowed cotton and is one panel is open, so it allows a glimpse of the backside of the fabric. Very thick nubby fabric and the classic Glen Court “Deluxe Rose” design. The design itself was not only printed in many color combinations, but also multiple weights in fabric. From super light-weight polished cotton, to this, the heaviest of all, super textured nubby cotton/rayon barkcloth. So easily identified with its minimal rose bouquet and leaf border. This one has a light blue and cream background. Glen Court barkcloth is a beautiful example of American textile manufacturing history. These two panels are in overall very good condition. Freshly laundered by hand washing. There is a faint yellowing on the left side of one panel, midway up. See last photo. Incredible fabric ready to be hung or repurposed.
