Description: Vtg Italian Art Pottery Sgraffito Colorful Glaze Lamp Signed "Italy G.T. NV" Stunning Italian art pottery incised and colorfully glazed lamp. It features an incised pattern of stems, leaves and flowers as well as geometric patterns that are glazed in colorful reds, greens and blues. This lamp is signed Italy G.T. N.V., but I am unsure where or who produced or even what time period it was manufactured. It appears that it was always intended to be a lamp and is not a conversion. It measures approximately 16" to the top of the socket and the base diameter is approximately 5-1/2". There are no cracks or repairs and I see only one small chip at the base (see photo #8). It is not noticeable when the lamp is upright. I purchased the lamp with a board & felt protective mat glued to the underside rim, it will be included and can be re-attached. The socket and plug are shinier than the cap that attaches to the top. It appears to have been re-wired in the last 10-20 years. When tested, it does work but I can not guarantee. And, I do always recommend, for safety reasons, to have wiring checked by a qualified professional or re-wiring. Enlarge and look at all photos for more details on condition, details and size.
