VTG Mid Century Large Wood Wrist Watch Style Electric Wall Clock- Coins 34" long

Description: Here's something you don't see every day!This is a large wall clock that looks like a giant wristwatch. The face and length of the 'band' are about 34" long.The clock face is about 8" diameter.The band's width is about 4.5". The clock itself is pretty cool to look at and would make a great conversation piece. I've put in one AA battery and so far it's working fine and then it stopped working. That could change over time, but the clock itself looks replaceable if necessary. The hands of the clock have some oxidation. The "numbers" on the clock are actually coins. As best I can tell there are coins from England, Ireland, Canada and a bunch of other places. This leads me to believe they are likely British Commonwealth coins. As far as dating the clock... Originally, I was thinking it's from the 1970's. However, one coin is dated 1985. Assuming the coins were mounted when it was made then we are in the mid 1980's. The clock itself is made of wood. I'm not an expert on wood so I have to leave buyer to verify wood species. I've chosen cherry as the species due to the color. It could be anything, really.
