Description: These were previously sold-but returned after they would not work for that buyers project build. Please be informed-these wheels are not being sold by Amazon-and free returns because you “changed your mind” or “wife got mad” will not be accepted. These are a near impossible set of wheels to find-and they’re represented as honestly as possible here and through photos. This listing is for the pair of Performance Machine 15” x 3-1/2” spindle mount cast aluminum rims shown in the photos. I did NOT have them powdercoated-someone before me did and I would recommend removal to get back to the original cast/machined surface these wheels had when new. I do not believe there are any repairs under the powdercoat based on the surface appearance-but without coating removal I cannot attest to that 100% confidently. For anyone unaware-you can locate info on the HAMB about these wheels and their origin as they were created in the 70’s with the original American Racing molds. Rumor on the internet suggests that a well-renowned custom motor uncle designer has the original molds of the Americans that these were made from. There are visible imperfections along the rim edges and I would hope no one expects perfection in these rims as they did live on a VW buggy for some time years back and saw road use. There is a small flat spot on one of them on the very edge of the rim-which is difficult to show in photos here on EBay. You can see the approximate sizes for the bearings based in the measurements in the photos. These wheels had sealed ball bearings in them when previously used on VW spindles (info is available), however since they are aluminum they could be machined for custom applications as needed. I do not have center caps or any other components besides the wheels shown. The 5-hole side of the wheel center has 3/8”-16 threaded holes and the 8-hole side has 5/16”-18 threaded holes. These wheels are intended for someone’s collection as I don’t have a seen future use for them. Please feel feee to message me if you have or need more info on these. I unfortunately cannot ship these internationally as I found out last year tue hard way when Ebays international shipping agency took a pair of magnesium rims and refused to return them-and they were never seen again. All EBay did was refund my money and the wheels/tires disappeared into the abyss.. (or were likely stolen)… Shipping origin is from Union Grove, Wi 53182.
