Description: This is a basic design, old-style purple lantern made in India of the type that was used by homesteaders, mariners, railroad personnel in prior times leading up to early in the last century and were formerly oil-lamps. This one is made to hold a candle. This could be a tea candle or votive candle (real or battery-operated) measuring less than 2.2 inches diameter and about 4-5 inches tall. This can be sat on a mantle, for example, hung by its handle or carried around. Good for camping! The glass is purple and the frame of the lantern is black metal. It has decorative plus-sign shapes cut out of the metal. It has a small dent on the base (see photos). Smoke-free home. No other damage. Very decorative and unique with the purple glass.
