Description: This is the December 1933 issue of WEE WISDOM (“A Magazine for Boys and Girls”). The cover features a wonderful painted illustration of a youngster with a sled watching Santa Claus and his reindeer moving across the sky. There is another very nice illustration on the back cover. The magazine contains 48 pages and measures approximately 6.75 x 9.75 inches. The magazine contains numerous articles, poems, music, stories and numerous black and white illustrations (as well as a one-color – red for example – and white illustrations). The magazine is like a time capsule - a glimpse into the lives of young boys and girls in the early 1930s. While the content is very interesting, the cover would look great matted and framed! WEE WISDOM was the first American children's magazine. WEE WISDOM was a "Young folk's magazine devoted to practical Christianity. It was published in Kansas City, Missouri by the Unity Tract Society." It was started in 1893 by Myrtle Fillmore, and when it is discontinued in 1991, WEE WISDOM was the oldest continuously published children's magazine in the country.
